Watch: Futbol Lives Here — Monguí, Colombia

‘Football Narnia’ was how Michael Wagenknecht described the mythical village of Monguí.

Futbol Lives Here — Monguí, Colombia is a short-film by Michael Wagenknecht. In poetic fashion, Michael introduces us to the village of Monguí, known colloquially as El Pueblo de los Balones — The Town of the Balls.

Following up on a recommendation, and chasing a mixture of intuition and mystery, Michael headed to the village just outside Boyaca, a three-hour drive north of Bogotá, armed with a nimble camera and several unanswered questions.

What he found was a mythical, magical place — one he could only describe as ‘football Narnia.’
