The two faces of Venice: A photo essay

Our very own photographer extraordinaire, Vittorio Moro, took to the streets of Venice, a place he used to call home, on matchday. His doubly exposed shots capture the mood of both the city and its team, Venezia FC. A magical backdrop plays host to the impassioned, dedicated fanbase they call I Lagunari.

The city and the team overlap.

Faces, streets, colours and passion share the same ground.

When love is real, there is no line between who you are and who you support.

“With this project, I wanted to represent the deep bond that connects the city of Venezia with its football team, and its supporters.”

“A bond made of identity, belonging, and shared emotions, where the club is not just something you follow, but something you live every day as part of who you are.”

“It was truly emotional to find myself once again at the Stadio Penzo, returning there after the experience of a few years ago, in a place where memories, passion, and history come together in a unique way.”
